Ordered a birthday cake here. Had to wait a little at pickup time as it wasn't fully ready yet. Order was placed weeks in advance. Cake was good and the atmosphere was nice. Will go back for breakfast when I'm near that area.

Warning: prepare for tantalized taste buds. Can't go wrong with brunch and pastries. Wonderful local eatery with a cafe vibe. Come hungry and leave satisfied.

My wife saw Ettore's Bakery & Cafe and wanted to stop in. It was a nice and busy cafe. So many baked goodies to choose from like pastries, cookies, cakes, etc. Beehive - Flakey almond croissant, with honey glaze, and sweetened custard, almond and nutella filling. This was good. Chocolate Almond Croissant. this was flakey and the chocolate was all melted and good (after toasting it). Almond Crescent: almond cookie dipped in chocolate finished with a maraschino cherry. [updated] I really liked this! I wish I bought more! All were delicious and will be back! I am so glad we stopped in.

Excellent, quick service, friendly professional customer service and huge array of European pastries. Reasonable prices, in fact very low priced compared to like places. Busy efficient. Delicious delicious delicious! Bravo Lisa and Staff!

First time here and already know I'll be here many more times. Plenary of parking in the lot. Patties and cakes to the right. Restaurant to the left. Very welcoming place that has there offerings easy to view. My first time visit today was picking up some treats (cake slices and some cookies). Checked out the restaurant area where a helpful person told me a bit about the place. I'm in!

Great selection of pastry and breakfasts. Lots of parking and welcome entry with full cases of fresh colorful pastry. You order at one of two counters. Pastry and coffee on the right. Breakfasts and beverages on the left in front of the open kitchen. They give you a table number and they deliver. It's an expansive casual dining room with a quieter atrium area that sits about 75. Also, a private style dining room. Looks like a regular crowd of families, seniors and laptop users early in the day. You can get adult beverages and that's a plus for day drinkers, golfers and hectic moms. Tried Spinach and Cheese Croissant and a crisp Cannoli. Bro got the Breakfast Sausage plate and a Beermosa. Well staffed with young servers buzzing around dropping food and bussing tables. Prices are still reasonable. Great for long breakfasts. Suggest that they consider briefly warming up and toasting the cold danish and rich croissants.

The place does it all. Whatever you are in the mood for. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastries, cookies and cakes. I was so overwhelmed cuz everything looks soooo good, but the staff were so friendly and patient. She gave me recommendations and made sure my goodies are neatly packed. She also placed parchment paper between pastries to make sure nothing is crossing flavors. The decor is classy and elegant. I got a bunch for us to try. And honestly everything was so good. But personally I love love love the apricot Danish/tart where it is perfectly flaky and buttery and along with the tart apricot is just chefs kiss. The cakes are sooo phenomenal too. Creamy and delicious but doesn't feel very heavy. There are so many other pastries I wanna try but can't fit all today. I'm so impressed with this place and I will come back for more.

Ettore's is a Sacramento area staple for a reason, and that reason is outstanding desserts and delicious savory food! The interior is welcoming and cozy, and they even have an indoor:outdoor patio for sunny days. The delicious dinner portioned steak salad was very delish and the accompanying focaccia bread was super delicious as well. I bought some slices of cake to take home and some hand crafted biscotti to enjoy with my morning coffee. They were all delish!! I can see why they have been a Sacramento staple for so long and you must come visit this rare gem! Great service, too!

Considering that "Ettore's Bakery & Cafe" has been around since the early 1990's, it has become a Sacramento staple where many locals rave about their award-winning cakes, pies, and other various desserts. But did you know that this place is also a cafe that serves full-on breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner? They also have a very generous beer & wine menu as well as options for kids. However, I would say the majority of their business is through their catering, weddings, and special occasions. Located in the heart of the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento, Ettore's is directly on Fair Oaks Blvd; east of Howe Ave. and just a few hundred feet west of Fulton Ave. I came here during the afternoon of Tuesday 2/13/2024 at around 2:30pm and surprisingly, this place was packed to capacity. Reason being is that this was a day before Valentine's Day so they were taking a ton of cake/dessert orders. Parking was quite difficult to find but still large enough to accommodate even the busiest of days like this one. Since it had been several years when I last visited this place, I wanted to see if anything changed since then. And it was exactly as I remembered with the burnt orange tiling with wooden tables that don't look that much different as they did during the turn of the century. Since I had already eaten lunch a couple hours prior to coming here, I decided to purchase a variety of desserts to take home with me. This consisted of their "Raspberry Danish", a "Beignet", a "Vanilla Caramel Cake", a "Strawberry Chocolate Cake (w/chocolate chips), and a "Strawberry Heart Tart". I only ate the beignet there but took the rest of the desserts home with me. I will say that the quality, care, and work that is put into these is as good as I remember. And they absolutely rival some of Sacramento's other top upscale bakeries including "Freeport Bakery" and "Estelle's". Service here (although very busy) was above average while their prices are quite reasonable. All of the food I mentioned came out to around $18 (after tax). All in all, "Ettore's Bakery & Cafe" is a reputable and above average place to satisfy your sweet tooth as well as getting a regular bite to eat. Everything that includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a create-your-own pizza, they will have you covered. I would even recommend Sunday Brunch where they have a create-your-own omelet, a variety of popular breakfast plates, and even mimosas. When you factor in the huge menu options, ambiance, food quality, and overall price, I am giving this place a respectable four star rating.
